Glendive, Montana

We're back in "cyberspace!"  We had little or no cell phone/Internet connectivity while at Glacier National Park.  We traveled to Glendive, Montana to rest from our travels, do laundry and clean our "house."  We opted to come this way in order to visit with relatives; we were treated to a delicious fresh trout dinner last night courtesy of our Montana cousins!!  We're headed to South Dakota tomorrow.  Don't know what kind of cell reception we will have, but will update our travels as soon as we are able.

Missoula, Montana

We traveled from Yellowstone National Park to Missoula, Montana on August 6th.  We plan on leaving for St. Mary's Campgrond in Glacier National Park on August 8th.  We'll probably be incommunicado for a while as we don't anticipate cell or Internet coverage in the park...maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.

Salt Lake City

We left Bryce on Thursday, July 26th and headed for Salt Lake City.  Had to do some business and decided to take in the sights while there.  We rested from our adventures and visited Temple Square on Saturday - very impressive architecture.

Update on Travels

Greetings!  We arrived at our next destination - Bryce Canyon National Park - early yesterday afternoon.  We were pleasantly surprised to discover that we have cell and Internet capabilities here (we have been incommunicado for much of our previous travels).  So, hopefully, I'll be able to provide more frequent updates.  Be sure to check out the "tabs" above for Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon destination pages.

Future Posts

From this point forward in our travels, I will be posting pictures on separate pages for each of the locales we will be visiting.  The first locale page is Mesa Verde National Park.  Hope you enjoy!!

Colorado Hiking & Trainride

Went hiking yesterday in the Weminuche Wilderness, which is located in the San Juan National Forest. The trail will take you from our campsite in Bayfield all the way to Silverton - about 30 miles (of course, we did NOT go that far!!)

We did encounter some "cliff hanging" paths, though.  Notice that I'm sticking close to the side of the trail!

Today, we rode the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Train.  Had a great time and saw lots of beautiful scenery.  If ever you get this way, be sure to take a train ride on this historic train!!
